Genes and Morphs



The current list contains what has been added by our users. If there is a morph or gene that needs to be added, please contact us with the following information so that we can add it to the database, allowing users to choose these morphs/genes in their records. Please note that we do not include compound morphs or combinations of genes as a single listing. For example in many species an albino anerythristic is commonly known as a snow. When registering, simply include all of the individual components. All requests to add compound/combination morphs will be rejected.

To add a morph (color, pattern or other phenotype) please email with the following information:
· Morph Name (as it will appear in the phenotype list)
· Known Genetic component(s) · Is there selective breeding involved?
· Your Name (this will be included in the "added by" information.)




To add a gene please email with the following information:
· Is it a whole new locus, or a new allele on a previously known locus?
· Locus Name (as it will appear or already appears in the gene list)
· Allele Name (as it will appear in the gene list)
· Relationship to its wild-type allele (Dominant, Codominant, or Recessive)
· Your Name (this will be included in the "added by" information.)
